This Defender 110, known to us as Rocky, was commissioned for a customer based in Connecticut who wanted a true open-air beach runner that could carry the whole family from the driveway to the dunes. Built to summer in Nantucket and live the rest of the year in coastal New England.

The customer chose to keep the classic 3.5L V8 engine paired with a manual transmission, opting for a full rebuild with an upgraded camshaft, carburetor, and a custom switchable sports exhaust. The original drivetrain, properly restored, with just enough character to remind you what you are driving every time you turn the key.

The body was finished in Slate Grey, paired with a Sand canvas soft top, a classic silver front grille, and Shoreline classic deep dish cream steel wheels on Cooper STT Pro tires. Color-coded wide arches, Heritage badging, and body colored headlight surrounds keep the exterior unmistakably Defender. Coastal, capable, ready for sand on the floor and salt in the seams.

Inside, the cabin was built for eleven. Two front seats, three across in each of the three rear bench rows, finished in full Tan fluted leather across every surface, including the dashboard, door cards, sun visors, and gaiters. A teak load bay finishes the rear. A Pioneer pop-out infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, and a reverse camera adds discreet tech, paired with a six-speaker Audison sound system with subwoofer and amplifier. A removable Marshall Bluetooth speaker sits in the cubby box for when the music has to leave the car.
