Goldeneye

This Defender 110, known to us as Goldeneye, was commissioned for a customer in Tampa, Florida who wanted the most physical version of a Land Rover Defender we build, finished as a soft top and grounded in the original drivetrain. A Villain that drives like the classic it started as, with the presence of something far more recent.

The drivetrain was specified with a fully reconditioned original 300TDi engine paired with the original manual transmission. No engine swap. No automatic. The customer wanted to keep what made the Defender a Defender, even on a build this aggressive. Paired with the lift kit, Shoreline Dynamic Ride suspension, steering dampening, Shoreline big brakes, and a stainless steel exhaust, the result is a Villain with the soul of the original and the stance of something built to take up space.

The body was finished in Bronze with body color Spectre wide arches, a Villain front grille in black, black headlight surrounds, smoked LED lights, and rock sliders. Black aluminum trim throughout. Beadlock 16x10 wheels in black, paired with Maxxis Trepador 35x12.5 off-road tires. The Villain in its most physical form. A custom pram style soft top in black with a folding frame makes it easy to drop the top, and the folding front windscreen takes the open-air feel even further.

Inside, the cabin was built around character. A distressed brown leather interior covering the dashboard, doors, gaiters, and visors. A middle row seat in distressed chocolate square stitch leather. Premium electric heated and cooled front seats in matching leather. A high armrest cubby box sits in the center. A leather-wrapped air conditioning unit, full interior aluminum pack, and luxury wood steering wheel finish the cabin.

The rear is where Goldeneye really separates itself. Custom tool storage boxes were fabricated into the wheel arch voids on each side of the load bay, finished with teak inlay that matches the rest of the decking throughout the build. No rear bench. The customer wanted the load bay to be exactly that, a working space finished beautifully. Interior teak runs through the front and middle as well.

A padded tailgate doubles as a seat when folded down. The Pioneer floating screen, featuring Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, and DAB pairs with a full 2.0 sound system upgrade running 8 speakers including 2 subwoofers. A reverse camera and a remote immobilizer designed for an open-top Defender finish the tech package.
