Available Shoreline Defenders
We regularly have completed Defender builds available for immediate purchase. These are vehicles that have been through our full nine-stage build process and are ready to deliver. They are not used vehicles. They are finished Shoreline builds, each one a ground-up restoration with a restored chassis, Range Rover-standard paintwork, and a hand-built interior.
Available Shoreline Defenders are listed on our inventory page with full specifications, build photos, and details of the edition, engine, color, and interior. If a vehicle in our current inventory matches what you are looking for, you can purchase it and take delivery without the wait time of a commission build.

Commission a custom Defender
If you want a Defender built to your exact specification, a Shoreline commission is the way to do it. You choose the platform, the edition, the engine, the color, the interior, and every finishing detail. We build it from the ground up over 4 to 8 months and deliver it worldwide.
Every Shoreline commission starts with a design consultation. You tell us how you plan to use the vehicle and what you want out of it. We walk you through the options, send physical material samples for paint and leather, and build the specification together. From there, the build follows our nine-stage process with weekly updates and photos through our online tracking portal.
Available platforms
We build on two platforms: the Defender 90 and the Defender 110. The Defender 90 is the short-wheelbase, 3-door classic. Compact, agile, and at its best as a weekend car, a beach vehicle, or a city cruiser. The Defender 110 is the longer wheelbase, 5-door option. More space, more seating, more versatility. It works well as a family vehicle, a daily driver, or a long-distance tourer. Both are available as a hard top or a soft top.
Four editions
Every Shoreline Defender is built across one of four editions, each designed around a different way of using the vehicle.
Heritage. A classic Defender with heritage-correct styling and modern mechanicals underneath. For clients who want the original character preserved without the original reliability problems.
Beach. An open-air soft top, stripped back, light, and built for the coast. Marine-grade hardware, teak decking, and an interior designed to handle sand and salt without worry.
Villain. Wide body, aggressive stance, high-performance drivetrain. The most visually striking build in our lineup. It is the Defender most people picture after watching Spectre.
Modern. LS3 V8 power, a luxury Defender interior, and contemporary technology throughout. A classic Defender that performs and feels like a modern vehicle.
What every Shoreline Defender includes
Whether you buy from our available inventory or commission a new build, every Shoreline Defender is a ground-up restoration. The vehicle is stripped to the bare chassis and rebuilt from scratch. There are no shortcuts, and the standard does not change between editions.
A restored chassis, treated for corrosion and strengthened. Range Rover-standard paintwork with panel gaps checked to millimeter precision. A hand-stitched leather interior with modern gauges, climate control, and premium audio. A fully rebuilt or new drivetrain, whether diesel, LS3 V8, Ford EcoBoost, or electric. A new wiring loom, rebuilt brakes, upgraded suspension, and full soundproofing. A 24-hour systems inspection and a 500-mile road test before delivery. Full photographic documentation of the build. And a 12-month warranty.
A Shoreline Defender is not a refurbished Defender with a fresh coat of paint. It is a vehicle that has been rebuilt from the chassis up to a standard that is engineered to last.

Engine options
Every Shoreline Defender is available with a choice of drivetrain, matched to the build edition and how you plan to use the vehicle.
A rebuilt 200 TDi or 300 TDi diesel for Heritage builds and clients who want the classic mechanical character. A rebuilt TD5 for a more refined diesel with electronic management. An LS3 V8 for restomod builds that need modern performance and highway ability. A Ford 2.3L EcoBoost for clients who want petrol power without V8 fuel consumption. Or an electric conversion for silent running, instant torque, and zero emissions.
The engine, the transmission, the cooling system, and the braking are engineered as a complete system, not individual parts bolted together.

In their original, unrestored form, no. The wiring, cooling, and chassis corrosion are common failure points on a 30-year-old vehicle. A Defender that has been properly rebuilt from the ground up with new wiring, rebuilt cooling, upgraded brakes, and a restored chassis is a different vehicle.
