Dune

This Defender 90, known to us as Dune, found its home with a customer in a waterfront town in New Jersey. A Beach build with a warm, cohesive colour story from the outside in. Mocca paint, body colour arches and half doors, tan leather interior, and teak underfoot. A build that feels as warm as it looks.

The drivetrain was built around a Land Rover TD5, tuned to 180BHP with a larger intercooler and a silicone hose kit for improved performance and reliability. A dual-map ECU with a dashboard-mounted switch gives the driver two power settings to choose between: a standard everyday map and a more spirited performance map, selectable on the fly. Think of it as two different versions of the same engine, switched with the flick of a button. The manual transmission keeps the drive engaging, and the full suspension upgrade and Shoreline brake upgrade dial in the handling.

The body was finished in Mocca Latte with body colour arches and half doors, a new black front bumper, LR badging, and a full LED light upgrade. A sand canvas soft top with a black frame sits cleanly against the warm paint. Body colour steel wheels on Toyo Open Country tyres, a black swinging rear wheel carrier, a side-mounted half rear door, and genuine LR mud flaps finish the exterior.

Inside, the cabin was built around tan leather. Classic front seats and folding individual rear seats, all in matching tan leather, with seating for six. Full extended tan leather across the dashboard, doors, and gaiters. Leather sun visors, leather gear and transfer handles, and a leather parking brake handle. A centre cubby box with storage houses a Marshall Bluetooth speaker. A wood steering wheel, new gauges, and a full interior aluminium pack finish the front cabin.

Footwell lights front and rear, a front mat set, and teak load bay flooring tie the interior together. A rear bulkhead reduction to open up the cabin, two USB-A and two USB-C ports, and front air conditioning round out the package.
