The Shoreline Beach Edition is for the drives that do not need explaining. Top rolled up, windows down, somewhere to be but no real rush to get there. Open air, open road, and a Defender that gets out of its own way.

The most honest version of a Defender we build.

We build the Beach for the customer who wants their Defender to feel like a Defender. Not a luxury SUV pretending to be one. A real soft top for Land Rover Defender purists who want their truck to age well and earn its character through use.

The luxury is in what you touch. Premium leathers, drop carpets finished by hand, optional teak load bay flooring. The standard Marshall Bluetooth speaker is the only sound system. There is no navigation. There is no infotainment. That is the point.

This is the closest thing we build to a true Land Rover Defender convertible. Heavy duty roll hoop, full length canvas soft top, removable half doors. Top down, top up, however the day calls for it. The original beach runner Defender, properly finished.

What goes into our Beach Defender

Every Shoreline Beach Edition starts with a donor. That is the term we use for an original Defender 90 or Defender 110 sourced from Europe or the United States, the foundation that every Shoreline build is rebuilt from. We strip it back to the bare chassis and rebuild from there. The original drivetrain is fully reconditioned, or replaced with a different engine if the customer prefers a swap. The brakes and suspension are upgraded. The body is stripped, prepped, and refinished by hand.

The Beach is built for open air driving. That means a full length canvas soft top, a heavy duty roll hoop, and removable half doors with sliding windows. A bikini top is also available for the customer who wants even more open air, leaving the back of the cabin fully exposed. Cooper STT Pro tires sit on 16 by 8 deep dish steel wheels, ready for whatever surface the day calls for. A swing-away rear wheel carrier and folding side and rear steps round out the exterior.

Inside, every Beach is finished in upgraded leather across the seats, dash, and trim. Carpets are hand-laid with contrast trim. The Marshall Bluetooth speaker is the only sound system, by design. Optional teak load bay flooring is available for the customer who wants it.
